1/25/10 EHS v Los Alamitos (3-1)

On Jan 25^th The Aztecs hosted rival Los Al in a rain-out make-up game.  Los Al struck early, five minutes into the match Los Al capitalized on a free kick 30 yards out that somehow got by goalkeeper Jerrod Stith.  The Aztecs quickly returned with a free kick from Corey Wolfrom from 25 yards to Jeremy Stith who headed the ball into the net. The Aztec offensive dominance continued throughout the period with shots and near scores from Eddie Arellano, Michael Hodis, Jesus Ramirez, Daniel Borst, and Corey Wolfrom. With 13 minutes remaining in the period the Los Al goalie committed a foul in the box and the Aztecs were granted a penalty shot and Corey Wolfrom took the shot to the back of the net for a goal.   The 1^st period ended with the Aztecs up 2-1.

The second period was controlled by the Aztecs as the offensive play remained aggressive and the defense strong. Daniel Borst took balls into the box multiple times and nearly scored twice. Jeff Price kept balls alive on the offensive side and passed off to Wolfrom and Eddie Arellano who took strikes at the goal for near scores. Los Al never gave up and continued hard play and managed near scores from 3 corner kicks. With 10 minutes remaining Michael Doyen’s persistent aggressive energy in the box paid off again as he returned a ball from Jeremy Stith striking it back into the net for a goal.  The game ended with the Aztecs on top 3-1
